Please note that we cannot retrieve anything, because no progress or character data is saved at our end.

Having said that, there is no manual saving in DYING LIGHT: THE BEAST. Saving occurs whenever the automatic save icon appears. This usually takes place while crossing various checkpoints on the map, receiving quests or when leaving the game via its Pause menu.

If your game crashes while progress is being saved, it may result in corrupted save data or complete progress loss, so be careful not to force-quit the game.

Also, check the save file rollback option, please. It reverts progress to a back-up file, which is created when a player does certain quests. The rollback option is only visible if a back-up save has been created.

While you're in the main menu, select the option to load your saved games. Just hover your cursor over your save file, then press and hold the action key ("X" on PC and the right stick/R3 on console controllers) to revert to the last saved story checkpoint.
