- To enable ray tracing, change the video quality preset to Ultra. You may also enable selected options in the Advanced Video Options section to fine-tune performance. Ray tracing requires an RT capable graphics card with at least 8GB of video memory.
- Ray-tracing is a feature that adds extra details at a performance cost. We try to keep the core look of the game the same so it looks great in every mode. If your graphics card is not capable of running the game smoothly, please use a mode other than Ultra for the best experience.
- The Ultra mode enables the Frame Generation feature by default to run the game smoothly. This means that the frame rate is effectively doubled. For the best experience please use a VRR (variable refresh rate) display with a high refresh rate (>60 Hz).
- The game tries to detect VRR, and if the hardware is capable, it disables V-Sync to ensure the lowest input latency and smooth frame delivery. If your setup is capable of VRR, but it’s disabled, the game will not be able to react properly. In that case, enable V-Sync manually in the game menu (Intel and AMD cards) or try to enforce it in the driver (NVIDIA) to prevent screen tearing.
- Using Frame Generation will increase input lag, especially with V-Sync turned on. If you feel an excessive amount of input lag and, the game reacts with delay - enable VRR, disable V-Sync, and ensure the latency reduction option is enabled. If that doesn’t help, disable Frame Generation and switch from the Ultra preset for the best experience.
If you're using Frame Generation, try different upscaling options. Depending on your hardware configuration, various models (such as DLSS, FSR, or others) may perform better.
If your hardware supports Variable Refresh Rate (VRR), ensure it is enabled:
- Turn on VRR on your TV or monitor.
- Ensure your connection supports VRR, as some HDMI ports may not.
- Make sure VRR is enabled in your GPU settings (for NVIDIA cards, refer to the NVIDIA Control Panel).
- Enable VRR in Windows by navigating to System > Display > Advanced Display > Dynamic Refresh Rate.
For best overall experience, use updated GPU drivers and ensure your system meets the recommended specs.
